Rockingham Rugby Union is supported by a very dedicated bunch of volunteers that work hard to ensure the Club continues to strive for success. Anyone wishing to volunteers their time whether it be to coach or manager a team; pick up a whistle to ref; join our Committee; stand behind a BBQ or even run water to the players... contact us today.

Team Requirements
Each team requires a Coach, Manager & in some cases a Referee and/or Assistant Referee. We kindly ask the parent group to assist in these roles
players, coaches, team management & game officials must be registered on Rugby Xplorer prior to game day

ALL participants of rugby MUST be self registered. You can find our registration details here.

No Pay No Play
We have a strict 'no pay, no play' policy. Please ensure your are registered the day before Round 1.

Players aged between 5-18 years maybe able to apply for Government funding to go towards registration fees. Head to the Kidsport website to find out if you qualify.

Training / Playing Gear
Mouthguards MUST be worn for all training and games. It is a compulsory requirement for ALL players.
Players are encouraged to wear football boots (moulded or metal studs), however closed in footwear are acceptable.
Games shorts & socks must be worn for all games and can be purchased from the Club on selected nights. TBA.
Playing jerseys will be provided by the team manager on the day of the game and must be returned after the game has finished.
Headgear is optional and up to the preference of the player.
Players should wear comfortable clothing for training.

Weather Policy
As a general rule when temperatures reach above 28 players must be monitored closely. 
30/30 rule for lightning strikes; all play must end when lightning is less than 30 seconds a part.
World Rugby Heat Policy & World Rugby Lightning Policy.

Player refunds of registration fees are only available if the player has not played a game. Players must complete this refund form.

Age Grades and Dispensations
All junior players play in their age grade. There may be cases where players are dispensated above or below their age group; this is at the discretion of the Committee and RugbyWA.
RugbyWA have adopted a Size for Age Policy; please contact our Junior Coordinator if you have any questions.

ALL registered players & volunteers are covered by insurance from Gow Gates that covers the cost of ambulances and medical treatment sustained during rugby related activities not covered by medicare.
To make a claim please go to Gow Gates, all claims must be submitted within 30 days of the injury.

Competitions Outside of Regular Saturday rugby
We encourage teams to participate in external competitions (e.g Guildford 7s & Singapore 10s) however, these activities are at the expense of the team. Teams must pay their own competition entry, travel & accommodation costs. At the discretion on the Club Committee, and where possible, Rockingham will provide equipment to train and play with, including jerseys. All equipment must be returned to the Rockingham Committee at the completion of the competition.

Overseas Tours
Teams must appoint a 'Tour Manager' who will need to first contact the Club Committee prior to applying to overseas Unions, Clubs and/or Competitions. All overseas tours MUST complete the Rugby Australia Tour Application.

All Club logos & colours are the property of Rockingham Rugby Union Football Club, as such, it must be approved by the Club Committee prior to it's use.
